Sylvia (Cox) Kelly

Sylvia Cox Kelly, 83, resident of Kelly Street, entered into rest Wednesday September 6, 2023 at the Callie and John Rainey Hospice House.

Born on January 23, 1940 in Anderson County to the late Paul and Annie Moore Cox, she was a graduate of Belton High School and was retired from Torrington after 29 years of service.

She attended Belton Church of God, and enjoyed baking and cooking, doing crafts, and decorating. She especially loved her family.

Surviving are her children, Leslie Marvin “Hawk” Kelly and wife Barbara of Honea Path, Melody Yvette Dorsey and husband Frank of Belton, Curtis Brian Kelly and wife Karen of Honea Path, Tonya Deane Kelly and husband Trampis of Anderson, Tina Lorraine Martin and partner Dave of Honea Path, Marlon “Mutt” Kelly and wife Vickie of Belton; her sister, Joan Jones and husband Ed; her brother, Clint Cox and wife Patsy; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Annette Peterson Trammell.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 AM from the Garden of Memories with Rev. Michael Hanley officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
