Obituary
William “Bill” Emory File, 71, husband of Margaret Knox File, resident of Cape Hatteras Drive, entered into rest Monday August 28, 2023 at the Asheville VA Medical Center.
Born on December 27, 1951 in Hastings, MI, he was drafted into the U.S. Army, after his term of service he attended college and became an Optometrist.
Surviving is his wife of 36 years, of the home, his sisters, Martha File of Seneca and Cris File of Atlanta, GA. He was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Lillian File, and a brother, Frank File.
Memorial services with military honors will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 PM from the Little Mountain Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Hwy. 28 in Abbeville County.
Flowers are accepted and memorials may be made to your local American Legion, VFW, or DAV.
